I am a mother, partner, emergency dispatcher, and photographer.
My journey with photography began when I was eleven years old playing with my aunt's Kodak camera in their garden. I realized then that a camera could be used to not only take photographs, but to create art. For nearly two decades, it's been my favorite art form and I've had amazing opportunities shooting professionally in the past. However, with much encouragement, this is my first official business venture!
KM Photography is my sole business and one created out of nothing but determination and passion. I am beyond grateful to be able to do what I love (even part-time) and create for others. Excitement doesn't begin to describe my feelings about this journey!

I shoot Canon exclusively.
Currently I am using a Canon R5 with an FD 24-105mm lens. I have a Canon T5i Rebel with several different lenses that I use as a backup or for specific projects.
For lighting I use a speed-light flash and several box flashes for studio settings. I have ring lights available for more creative portrait shoots in addition to other lighting equipment.
Editing software is strictly Adobe for images and Canva / ShowIt for text / web development. Lightroom and photoshop are utilized strategically and minimally in order to produce optimal photographic results. No editing of physical appearance is ever conducted unless specifically requested.
